Productivity up, costs down with MAX³
- Product Development
We have installed a state- of-the-art multi-axis machining centre at our Grand Rapids, MI, facility. Supplied by US market leader Haas, it enhances our manufacturing capability to new levels of efficiency, quality and productivity.
Response times are reduced, and customers can depend on scheduled deliveries of dies that always meet the highest standards of accuracy.
We are reacting to increased demand for our growing rotary die business; the additional capacity will also be used to make components for other sectors of the food industry.
This new Model VF-10 4-axis machine with enhanced CNC technology gives major efficiencies which translate into customer gains. Operator set-up time is reduced dramatically to just one initial set-up; an entire die can be made with automatic, unmanned tool changes; and a single program is loaded and run for the complete die roll. Higher spindle speed provides improved engraving times on re-engraved die rolls.
This is an investment to maintain our leading position in the die industry. The Baker Perkins Die Guys have a unique understanding of the interface between the machine, its die and the product being made. Our die experts are available to provide advice and assistance either on the phone or by visiting your plant. Whether you are considering a new die, having problems with an existing one or want to know about repair or recoating options the Die Guys are always ready to help.
